Nation’s airports serve over 55 million passengers in seven months

Airports across the country served 55.41 million passengers in the period from January to July, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

Hanoi (VNA)♐ – Airports across the country served 55.41million passengers in the period from January to July, according to the CivilAviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

The total throughput in July alone was 9.11 million, ayearly increase of 12.2 percent, of which 2.34 million were international travellers(up 2.1 percent) and domestic ones 6.77 million (up 16.2 percent).  At present, 63 foreign airlines of 25 countries and territoriestogether with three domestic ones – Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and JetstarPacific Airlines - are operating 105 international routes to and from Vietnam. In the domestic market, four local airlines - Vietnam Airlines,Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific Airlines andVasco – are providing flights on 52 domestic routes. The Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) have taken a seriesof measures to enhance the capacity of local airports, particularly those inthe major cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. The corporation also tightened inspections and surveillanceto ensure service quality during the peak travel season in summer 2017.-VNA

🦂 Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
