As many as 110 products were recognised as national outstanding rural industrial products in 2019 at a ceremony held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi on September 18.

Hanoi (VNA) - As many as 110 products were recognised as nationaloutstanding rural industrial products in 2019 at a ceremony held by theMinistry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi on September 18.

According to Director of the Local Industry Department of the Ministry ofIndustry and Trade Ngo Quang Trung, the selection of outstanding ruralindustrial products aims to identify those products which will receive supportfor further development.

It is considered a good opportunity for rural businesses and industrialestablishments to meet and exchange, as well as provide orientations andsolutions to create a link between the development of rural industrialproduction and the needs of markets, thereby enhancing the value of ruralindustrial products, he added.

The honoured products include handicraft products, agro-forestry and aquaticproduct processing products, equipment, machinery, tools, and machine partsproducts.

The products will be on display at the Thang Long Royal Citadel until September22.

The event was held as part of the national industry promotion programme 2019with an aim to introduce achievements and results of industrial promotionactivities in supporting rural industrial development as well as createopportunities for trade promotion, and expand markets for typical ruralindustrial products./.
