National Assembly deputies passed the revised Law on Technology Transfer, Law on Irrigation, and the revised Law on Tourism during a session in Hanoi on June 19.

Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly deputies passed therevised Law on Technology Transfer, Law on Irrigation, and the revised Law onTourism during a session in Hanoi on June 19.

With 93.28 percent of approval, the revised on TechnologyTransfer comprises six chapters and 63 articles, stipulating technologicaltransfer from abroad to Vietnam and vice versa, as well as within the country,rights and responsibilities of individuals and entities concerned, projectappraisal and State management, among others.

Earlier, deputies heard a report on acquiring feedback onthe revised Law on Technology Transfer delivered by member of the NA StandingCommittee and head of the NA’s Committee on Science, Technology and EnvironmentPhan Xuan Dung.

Meanwhile, the Law on Irrigation won 93.08 percent ofapproval with 10 chapters and 60 articles. It covers irrigation strategy andplanning; management, exploitation and operation of irrigational works andwater reservoirs; rights and responsibilities of relevant individuals andentities.

According to the report on acquiring feedback on the draftLaw, the NA Standing Committee agreed to add regulations on diversifyinginvestment in managing and tapping irrigational works.

Adopted with 89.21 percent of yes votes, the amended Law onTourism, which comprises 9 chapters and 78 articles, stipulates tourism naturalresources, products and activities, rights and responsibilities of concernedindividuals and entities at home and abroad.

The report on acquiring feedback on the draft revised Law onTourism said the law covers regulations on ranking lodging facilities onvoluntary basis, tourism planning and management.

In the afternoon, the legislature adopted a resolution approvinga Treaty supplementing the Treaty on national border demarcation betweenVietnam and Laos, and a resolution approving a Protocol on borderline andnational borderline between Vietnam and Laos.

Later, the NA deputies passed a draft resolution approving the State budgetbalance for 2015 with 92.46 percent of yes vote.

With 82.08 percent of approval, they also adopted a resolution on splitting landreclamation, recovery, assistance, resettlement of the Long Thanh InternationalAirport project into a component project. It comes into effect as from the day theNA approved.-VNA
