Phnom Penh (VNA) – National ♉Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrived in Phnom Penh on the afternoon of September 27 to 💖begin her official visit to Cambodia at the invitation of her counterpart Samdech Heng Samrin.

The September 27-28 visit looks to continually cement and step up the friendly neighbourliness and all-faceted cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
It also looks to actualise commitments on exchanging high-level visits of legislators, the sharing of experience, and other cooperative contents agreed by the two legislative bodies. Cambodia’s largest daily newspaper Rasmei Kampuchea (Light of Cambodia) has run a front page article saying the visit will strengthen bilateral cooperation.
It noted this was Ngan’s first trip to Cambodia as Vietnam’s top legislator after her recent visit to Laos, showing that Vietnam prioritises the long-standing solidarity between the three countries. Following by Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang’s visit to Cambodia in June 2016, this visit shows that Vietnam pays great attention to relations with Cambodia.-VNA
