A National Assembly (NA) delegation led by Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung paid a visit to the central province of Ha Tinh on October 17.
NA Chairman Hung and delegation visited a model farm that uses advanced technologies to grow vegetable and fruits on coastal sandy soil in Thach Van commune, Thach Ha district, invested by the Ha Tinh Mining and Trade Company (Mitraco).
They also visited Mitraco’s meat processing factory in Ky Anh town.
The delegation held a working session with executives of the Son Duong Steel and Deepwater Port Complex project in the Formosa Industrial Zone.
The first phase of Son Duong complex, which has total investment of 10.5 billion USD, is scheduled to complete at the end of 2016. Among major items in the complex, the Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant has been put into operation with a capacity of 1,200MW.
NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung appreciated efforts made by managers and workers at the Formosa Industrial Zone and affirmed the Vietnamese NA and Government would create favourable conditions under Vietnamese law for the Formosa group to complete the project.
