Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th NationalAssembly will elect the State President in the morning of October 23, thesecond day of its ongoing sixth session.
The result of the secret vote is scheduled to be announcedin the afternoon.
Then the newly-elected President will take the oath ofoffice and deliver a speech at the swearing-in ceremony, which will bebroadcast live by the Vietnam Television and Radio The Voice of Vietnam.
The same day, the deputies will vote on a resolution approvingthe dismissal of Truong Minh Tuan from the post of the Minister of Informationand Communications.
They will also discuss in groups the approval of theappointment to the post of the Minister of Information and Communications asproposed by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.-VNA
