The 14th National Assembly began question and answer (Q&A) sessions as part of its ongoing third meeting in Hanoi on June 13.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th National Assembly began question and answer(Q&A) sessions as part of its ongoing third meeting in Hanoi on June 13.

Minister of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment Nguyen Xuan Cuong is first to fieldthe questions on June 13, with questions set to focus on measures torestructure agriculture effectively, improve quality and competitiveness ofproducts, protect and develop aquaculture resources and manage aquatic exploitationactivities.

Minister of Culture, Sports and TourismNguyen Ngoc Thien is expected to detail management and licensing of art andculture activities, organisation of festivals, prevention of ethicaldegradation, preservation of cultural values and improvement of tourismplanning.
                    
Minister of Health Nguyen Thi KimTien is set to talk about measures to improve the efficiency of medicalcheck-ups and treatment, along with State management of drug prices andprovision at medical facilities and investment in grassroots healthcare toreduce overload at centrally-run hospitals.

Finally, Minister of Planning andInvestment Nguyen Chi Dung will be present solutions to mobilise socialresources for development investment, improve management to prevent wastefulnessin public investment and clarify responsibilities of ministries and departmentsin implementing key national projects.

The Q&A sessions, which are scheduled to run until June 15, are broadcastlive on channels of the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, National Assemblyand the parliament’s website at www.quochoi.vn. -VNA
