Can Tho (VNA) – National Assembly ChairwomanNguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries,ex-revolutionaries, and disadvantaged children in the Mekong Delta city of CanTho on January 23, ahead of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

She assured them that the Party and State has neverforgotten the sacrifices by war invalids, martyrs’ families, andex-revolutionaries in the past, and wished them good health and a warm NewYear.

The top legislator also presented 150 gifts to poorhouseholds and Agent Orange victims, each worth 1.1 million VND (47 USD), and100 scholarships to underprivileged students, each worth 1 million VND, alongwith study equipment.

Speaking to recipients, she lauded the municipal PartyCommittee, authorities, and people for their economic achievements and socialwelfare.

She took the occasion to wish a happy New Year to the localParty Committee, authorities, armed forces, and people. –VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
