Can Tho(VNA) – Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made clear alot of issues raised by voters in An Cu ward, Ninh Kieu district, in theMekong delta city of Can Tho, during her meeting with them on April 25.

For their concern about the health of Party General Secretary and PresidentNguyen Phu Trong, she said the leader’s health has been affected by changes inweather between cooler Hanoi and southern Kien Giang province, where thetemperature hit 38 degrees Celsius, and where he visited a facility producingfrozen shrimps during the working visit to the locality, plus his heavyworkload.

She assured the voters that the Party and State leader will be back to work asnormal soon.

She noted down the voters’ concerns about fake medicines, saying the productionand sale of fake medicines are banned and will be severely punished.

She promised to transfer their concerns about the need to improve the qualityof treatment provided by commune- and district-level hospitals to theGovernment and related ministries.

Regarding university entrance examination cheating, ethics in schools, andchild sexual abuse, she said those are pressing social issues that have caughtthe public concerns, saying they are being tackled by competent agencies inline with laws.

Sharing with the voters’ worries about traffic accidents caused by drugs-useddrivers, the leader told that the violators will be handled in conformity withlaw and the fight against drugs trafficking will continue drastically.

During the meeting, Ngan answered the voters’ concerns about the implementationof policies for nation contributors.
 
She informed thevoters about the major contents of the seventh session of the NA, which isscheduled to open on May 20, and the country’s socio-economic performance sofar this year.-VNA
