Hanoi (VNA) – Ahigh-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) led byPolitburo member, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan left Hanoi on November 26 forofficial visits to Singapore and Australia until December 2. 

She is being accompanied byseveral members of the Party Central Committee and the NA Standing Committee.

The visits aim to furtherstrengthen the strategic partnership with Singapore and to promote the enhancedcomprehensive partnership with Australia towards elevating it to the level of strategicpartnership in 2018.

It is the visit to Singapore by atop Vietnamese legislator after 14 years since the previous trip by NA ChairmanNguyen Van An in 2003.

Meanwhile, the Australia visit is also the first by aNA chairperson after the trip by NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong in 2008.-VNA
