Hanoi (VNA) – A museum of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) was inaugurated at aceremony was held in Hanoi on May 15.
Addressingthe ceremony, President of the VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man said themuseum is a tribute to the work and the aspiration of many generations of VFFleaders and cadres, which provides a deep insight into the glorious traditionsof the VFF.
The museum ishoped to meet the needs in research and study of the public, he said.
The VFFleader called on organizations and individuals to contribute artifacts anddocuments to the museum.
On the occasion,the museum received 318 documents and objects, adding to the nearly 1,000 exhibitsit has collected until the inaugural./.
Currently, 140 of 164 recognised national treasures are being preserved and displayed in museums nationwide, while the remainder are located in monuments and religious facilities. However, the preservation and promotion of the treasures are still facing difficulties.
The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History is located at Nguyen Binh Khiem street in District 1, set beside Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, which were built by the French colonialists.
