Hanoi (VNA) – The most unique and impressive collections will be on show at the Vietnam Int𒐪ernational Fashion Week (VIFW) in Hanoi next month, promising a turning point for the local fashion market by the year’s end.

The VIFW for the autumn-winter season is slated for November 1-6 at the Vietnam National Convention Centre. This will be the first time it is held in Hanoi after three successful seasons in Ho Chi Minh City, said VIFW founder and President Le Thi Quynh Trang told the media on October 10.
This time, the biggest international fashion event in Vietnam will feature more than 20 shows, over 20 domestic and foreign designers, along with hundreds of professional models. Ngoc Chau, the winner of Vietnam’s Next Top Model (season 7), will be the first model to perform at the VIFW.
The Week is also expected to see the return of designers Cong Tri, Phuong My, Thuy Nguyen, Le Thanh Hoa and Adrian Anh Tuan, along with such brands as Canifa, Luala and PNJ, who used to take part in the previous seasons, Trang said. She highlighted the “See now buy now” programme, which will provide spectators a chance to own their favourite designs after each show. Designs will be displayed at Trang Tien Plaza so that the public can have a closer look on them. The VIFW will be held for the spring-summer season in HCM City and the autumn-winter season in Hanoi every year. It aims to not only introduce outstanding collections but also open up development opportunities for Vietnamese designers and fashion brands, she added.-VNA

Indian writer captiva💖tedꦅ by Vietnam’s Cham culture

Taking a journey to the Cham Museum — the modest building in Phan Rang –Thap Cham, Indian writer Ankita Mahabir said that the museum might not boast size but it brims with pride for the local community, featuring carefully preserved sandstone sculptures, portraits, and rare artifacts.

For years, the Vietnamese community in many countries rarely had the chance to experience Vietnam’s traditional arts and culture actitivies organized by the Vietnam government, except the annual event “Vietnam Day Abroad” that has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2010. But the year 2024 marked a turning point.

In the context of international integration and globalisation, culture and art education plays a vital role in promoting the all-round development of Vietnam's young generation.
