- Party General Secretary To Lam offered incense to heroic martyrs at the Vi Xuyen national martyrs’ cemetery in the northern province of Ha Giang on February 5, on the occasion of the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3).
Lam and his entourage observed a moment of silence, offering flowers and incense to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers. They pledged their unwavering loyalty to the CPV’s goals and ideals, vowing to forever follow the path chosen by the CPV, President Ho Chi Minh, and the people. The events formed part of Viet's visit to the Oceania country from February 3 to 5 under a programme for ASEAN guests of the New Zealand Prime Minister. - The Hanoi Statistics Office announced on February 5 that the capital city’s consumer price index (CPI) for January inched up 0.51% from the previous month, with 10 out of 11 groups experiencing price hikes.Leading the pack was the culture, entertainment, and tourism group, which saw the sharpest monthly increase at 0.74%.
