- State President of Vietnam Luong Cuong visited and delivered a policy speech at the University of Chile in Santiago on November 12 morning (local time) as part of his official visit to the Latin American nation.

- The National Assembly (NA) on November 12 adopted a resolution on the socio-economic development plan for 2025, targeting a gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of 6.5 - 7%.

The resolution designates 2025 as the year of accelerating, making breakthroughs, and crossing the finish line; striving for the highest possible results of the socio-economic development plan for 2021 - 2025; and continuing to prioritise growth promotion on the basis of sustained macro-economic stability, controlled inflation, and guaranteed major balances of the economy. - Vietnam's 4G mobile network coverage now reaches 99% of the population, bringing the country close to the level of developed nations, which is at 99.4%, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed at a Q&A session as part of the 15th National Assembly’s ongoing 8th sitting on November 12.

By June 2025, all mobile network coverage gaps will be eliminated, which is both a goal and a commitment from the ministry, Hung said while answering deputies’ queries on the lack of mobile phone network in remote hamlets and villages. Read full story
