More Vietnamese citizens brought home

Close to 380 Vietnamese citizens from the Republic of Korea were flown home on September 15 on a flight of Bamboo Airlines.
Hanoi (VNA) – Close to 380 Vietnamese citizens from the Republicof Korea were flown home on September 15 on a flight of Bamboo Airlines.

The flight was arranged by the Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassyin the RoK, the carrier and authorities of the RoK.

Passengers included under-18 children, the elderly, those with underlyinghealth conditions, pregnant women, workers with expired labour contracts, studentscompleting their study and other especially disadvantaged cases.

The Vietnamese Embassy sent its staff to the airport to assist them withboarding procedures.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, disease prevention measures were carried outduring the flight. Upon landing at Cam Ranh airport in the south-centralprovince of Khanh Hoa, the flight crew and all passengers were given heathcheck-ups and quarantined in line with regulations.

In the future, more flights are set to be conducted to bring Vietnamesecitizens with disadvantaged circumstances, depending on their need andquarantine capacity at home./.
