Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 350 Vietnamese citizens were flown home from Angolaon December 12 on a Vietnam Airlines flight.

The flight was arranged by the Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassyin Angola, the national flag carrier, and authorities in the host nation.

Passengers on board include children under 18 years old, labourers with expiredcontracts and people in extremely difficult circumstances.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, disease prevention measures were strictlycarried out during the flight. Upon landing at Van Don International Airport innorthern Quang Ninh province, the flight crew and all passengers were givenhealth check-ups and quarantined.

On the same day, a Vietjet Air flight landed at Can Tho International Airportin the Mekong Delta city of same name, taking more than 340 Vietnamese citizens inMyanmar back home. 

Upon arrival, crew members and all passengers were given health check and quarantinedas regulated./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
