Monsoon Music Festival to be held from October 8-11

The international Monsoon Music Festival 2015 will take place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi from October 8-11, said the event’s General Director composer Quoc Trung on September 8.

The international Monsoon Music Festival 2015 will take place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi from October 8-11, said the event’s General Director composer Quoc Trung on September 8. This year’s event will aim to expand culture in society and disseminate values on environmental protection and healthcare to the community.
The festival will attract the participation of 200 local and international artists, including a number of renowned young singers like Uyen Linh, Toc Tien, Hoang Thuy Linh, Pham Anh Khoa, Trung Quan Idol and Le Cat Trong Ly. Foreign bands such as WhoMadeWho from Denmark, Samaris from Iceland, Catfish from France and From The Airport from the Republic of Korea are also expected to entertain audiences with impressive performances.
New features at this year’s festival include 200 free tickets presented to people with disabilities and e-tickets replacing paper tickets to protect the environment. The first festival, held in 2014, received major public appraise. It was considered an outstanding cultural festival for 2014 and won the Best Live Show of the Year title at the Cong Hien (Devotion) Music Awards, organised by the Vietnam News Agency publication The Thao & Van Hoa (Sports and Culture).-VNA
