Hanoi (VNA) – Work has begun ona waste treatment factory worth more than 35 million USD in Quang Trachdistrict, the central province of Quang Binh.

The Mien Trung Green Environment Co. Ltd plantwill be equipped with advanced equipment from the Republic of Korea, accordingto Quang Trach People’s Committee.

It is scheduled to become operational in June2019 and be able to treat 200 tonnes of daily waste a day collected from acrossQuang Trach district and nearby Ba Don township.

This is the second waste treatment factory withmodern technology in Quang Binh province, and it is hoped to ease pollution atlocal landfill sites.-VNA

💟 Vietnam contributes to international court's advisory opinion on climate change

As a key member of the core group of 18 countries, initiated by Vanuatu, Vietnam engaged in advocating for the UN General Assembly’s Resolution N.77/276, requesting for the ICJ’s advisory opinion. ♋ Hanoi to roll out policies supporting green transport transition

Under the plan, from 2025 to 2026, the city will complete mechanisms and policies to support businesses in switching to green vehicles, expand the electric and green-energy bus network, and build charging stations. The targeted proportion of green buses is set at 10% in 2025 and 20–23% in 2026.
