Hanoi (VNA)ꦫ – The MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation (MobiFone) launched the north-south transmission backbone at a ceremony in Hanoi on July 1.

The north-south transmission line uses new modern technology with a high security level, ensuring the provision of high-quality multi-services.

The company took this opportunity to announce the outcome of piloting 4G services in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City in May and June, which brings new experience for customers. Subscribers could enjoy a wide range of services such as LTE Broadcast (eMBMS), LTE Unicast, 4K TV , Robot Vehicle and online games, in high-speed 4G networks.
On the occasion, MobiFone introduced to the public its MobiTV, which marks its entrance in the pay TV business. The company strives to have one million subscribers of the new TV services in 2016 and become one of the three biggest businesses in pay-TV services in 2020. It also aims to become a multi-service enterprise based on four cornerstones: telecommunication & information technology, television, distribution & retail, and multi services.-VNA
