“Miss Vietnam in Czech” organisers support AO victims

The organising board of the “Miss Vietnam of the Czech Republic Open for Europe 2014” contest has kicked off a fund-raising campaign for victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in Vietnam.

The campaignwas launched at a ceremony in Prague on September 21 to announce thosewho will compete in the final round of the pageant.

At theevent, President of the Development Worldwide association (DWW) DanielSvoboda - one of the contest’s sponsors – handed over 5,000 USD raisedin the US to the board in order to help clean up herbicides left bythe war in A Luoi district, the central province of Thua Thien Hue.

The biennial pageant is sponsored by the Vietnamese Embassy inthe Czech Republic. This year marks the 4th time the event hasbeen held by the Vietnamese Association in the country and Vietmediacompany.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
