HCM City (VNA) – The grand finale of Miss V💞ietnam 2016 is slated for Phu Tho Sporting Event Hall in Ho Cꦕhi Minh City on August 28, with the competition of 30 outstanding contestants.

The final night will see competitors vying in ao dai (long dress), bikini, party dress and final question and answer rounds, said Le Xuan Son, Chief Editor of Tien Phong (Vanguard) Newspaper and head of the Organisation Board during a press conference on August 22.
Miss Vietnam 2016 will be crowned with a 2.2 billion VND (89,680 USD) crown designed and produced by Long Beach Pearl, and presented with 500 million VND (22,420 USD) in cash. Meanwhile, the first runner-up will receive 300 million VND (13,452 USD) and the second runner-up will get 250 million VND (11,210 USD). The three will join a cultural exchange trip to Fukuoka and Nagasaki cities in Japan , said Son. Along with major awards, the organisation board will also announce auxiliary awards, including Miss Humanity, Miss Beach, Miss Talent, Miss Integration, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Ao Dai, Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Skin and Miss Party Dress.
The night, to be broadcast live on Vietnam Television Channels 1 and 9 as well as 14 local TV channels, will also see performances by many famous Vietnamese and foreign singers. According to the Organisation Board, the highlight of this year’s contest will be Miss Humanity and Miss Communications, which aims to honour humanitarian devotion to the community. Nearly 40 billion VND has been invested to 40 charity projects in different areas cross the country, while 500 million VND has been presented to the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee’s Fund for Talent Support.-VNA
