Ministry reviews new exporters in case of trade remedy evasion for sugar products

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has decided to review new exporters involved in the application of measures against trade remedy circumvention for certain sugar products, its Trade Remedies Authority (Trav) said.

Hanoi (VNA)🅰 – The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has decided to review new exporters involved in the application of measures against trade remedy circumvention for certain sugar products, its Trade Remedies Authority (Trav) said.

On August 1, 2022, the ministry issued a decision on the application of such measures on some cane sugar products.

On November 25, 2024, the authority received a complete and valid dossier from Delicious Food Co. Ltd., requesting a review of new exporters in the case.

Based on the provisions of Clause 3, Article 82 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and Article 65 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP, the MoIT on December 24 issued Decision No. 3486/QD-BCT on the review.

To ensure the interests of all organisations and individuals related to the case, Trav recommended them register according to the related party registration form in Appendix I issued with Circular No 37/2019/TT-BCT. They need then send it to the investigation agency via the online trade remedy dossier receiving system (Trav online at //online.trav.gov.vn) within 60 working days from the effective date of the decision to conduct the review.

𒅌 The form would also be sent to the investigation agency via post or email before March 26, 2025./.
