Ministry collects feedback on State ownership policy

The Ministry of Planning and Investment has announced it started collecting feedback on a major policy which dictates the amount of control the State is to maintain over key businesses and sectors.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Ministry of Planning and Investment has announced itstarted collecting feedback on a major policy which dictates the amount ofcontrol the State is to maintain over key businesses and sectors.

Accordingly,the State may own up to 100 percent capital of 12 business groups includingpower transmission, air traffic control, lottery, currency printing and goldminting. 

Five otherbusiness groups that the State may retain majority control from 65 percentthrough either capital ownership or shares with voting rights include seaportsand airports management and investment, oil and gas exploration anddevelopment. 

In addition,the State aims to maintain 50-65 percent capital in nine other business groupsincluding urban water management, air transport, banking, petrol import/exportand any other businesses holding more than 30 percent of total market sharethat were deemed vital to the supply and demand ofthe macroeconomy./.

ꦗ Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
