Hai Phong (VNA) - A trade fair for Thai products called MiniThailand Week 2021 was launched at the Hai Phong International ExhibitionCentre in the northern city of Hai Phong on April 8, with 60 booths.
The booths belong to 35 importers of Thai products to Vietnam and showcasea wide range of products, from food to fashion, beauty, and personal care.
The fair will also feature traditional Thai dance performances,demonstrations of cooking Thai dishes, Do-It-Yourself (D.I.Y) activities, andgames.
It provides a good opportunity for investors and enterprises in the cityto exchange experience, expand partnerships, and boost two-way trade betweenthe two countries, said Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s CommitteeNguyen Duc Tho.
Thailand is currently Vietnam’s largest trade partner in ASEAN while Vietnamis Thailand’s third-largest. Bilateral trade last year totalled nearly 16billion USD, accounting for 30 percent of Vietnam’s trade with ASEAN memberstates.
Economic activities in Vietnam have returned to normalcy thanks to the Government’ssuccess in containing COVID-19, according to Morakot Janemathukorn from theEmbassy of Thailand.
