Archaeologists have found a lot of artefacts in Oc and Dong Hang caves in Huu Lung district, in the northern mountainous province of Lang Son.

Archaeologists have founda lot of artefacts in Oc and Dong Hang caves in Huu Lung district, in thenorthern mountainous province of Lang Son.

More than 100 artefacts, mostly made of stoneand bone, were found in Oc cave, said Associate Professor PhD Trinh Nang Chungfrom the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology on August 24.

Archaeologists also dug a 4 sq.m hole near thecave’s entrance and found a civilisation layer about 40-50cm thick andthree cooking places.

Meanwhile, in Dong Hang cave, archaeologistsuncovered more than 20 stone and bone artefacts.

Chung said on the basis of the features of the artefactsfound, archaeologists believe prehistoric people in the Bac Son civilisation livedin the caves about 6,000 years ago.-VNA
