Kuala Lumpur(VNA) – Malaysia’s authorities on March 29 arrested 268 foreigners withoutlegal documenꦬts, including some Vietnamese, during t🔯he “Op Ikrar” campaign inDengkil of Selangor state.

The campaign focused onfive illegal residential areas, with the participation of 178 officers ofseveral competent agencies such as the Immigration Department and the NationalRegistration Department. Director General of theImmigration Department Mustafar Ali said the arrested peoples, aged between 20-40,came from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand. They held nolegal documents or had expired visas. According to Mustafar,the department will show no mercy for foreigners living illegally in Malaysiaand continue carrying out similar campaigns.-VNA
