Long An (VNA)🎀 - Authorities of the Mekong Delta province of Long An have presented the title of “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” to 270 women, whose husbands and children laid down their lives for national liberation.

Among them, only 37 are still alive. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Ba Phuoc said the honour shows the gratitude for the heroic mothers and fallen soldiers for their sacrifice to the country’s revolutionary cause. He asked the local authorities and Party organisations, and people to continue paying special attention to taking care of Heroic Vietnamese mothers and families, who rendered services to the country. To date, the local authorities have granted the title to more than 5,000 women.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
