Unable to go to school due to cancer, 13-year-old Le Van Tien has attended a special class at the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital and become the prime example.

In an area of 25m² of the Pediatric treatment are number 3, Pediatric oncology department, Oncology Hospital, a make-shift class comprised of junior patients at the h🦹ospital. They do not have to bring along any s♐chool equipment. Some wear patient clothes, other wear T-shirts.

In the corner, Le Van Tien, aged 13, from Pho My Hiep, Thai Hoa, Tan Uyen, Binh Duong, is holding a new notebook. It has been 5 months since Tien last went to school. “Ever since I got blood cancer, I have to postpone my studying to focus on treating my condition. The chemical treatment is so intense that I couldn’t attend the class” The bright kid consumed in solving the math problem. Tien not only inspires other patients but also acts as the teacher assistant at this particular makeshift class.
