Hanoi (VNA) – Outcomes of the election of depu🦩ties to the 14th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure are scheduled to be publicised at a pre🌟ss conference on June 9.

To prepare for the event, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan asked delegates to the National Election Council (NEC)’s sixth session which was convened in Hanoi on June 8 to look into several reports.
The documents include a draft report on the election results, the minutes reviewing the election and a resolution on the announcement of the election outcome as well as the list of incoming deputies to the 14th NA. Ngan, who is also NEC Chairwoman, said the list of deputies to the legislature will be announced by the council while municipal and provincial election committees will release the names of deputies to all-level People’s Councils.
The top legislator noted that the May 22 general election took place in a mode of democracy and equality, and in line with the law with more than 90 percent of voters nationwide going to the polls. During the working session, the delegates scrutinised a report on the settlement of complaints and denouncements relating to the election work, and discussed the organisation of a national conference reviewing the election. The new parliament will comprise 500 deputies. Provincial People’s Councils across Vietnam will have 3,918 deputies. Meanwhile, the district and communal levels will have 24,993 and 294,055 members, respectively.-VNA
