Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of National Defence launcheda database of legal documents on military and national defence at a ceremony inHanoi on November 6.
The event marked the efforts of the ministry in the application ofinformation technology and digital transformation, legal document management, andState management in defence and military affairs.
It offers an opportunity to review endeavours of the VietnamPeople's Army in over 10 years of bringing the Law on law popularisation and education into daily life; share valuableexperience and effective practices; and honour outstanding organisations and individualsthat contributed to the legal popularisation and education work and encouraging thepublic to comply with the law.
The database is expected to importantly contribute to realising thedigital transformation goal within the ministry.

According to Deputy Minister of Defence Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, in recent years, the ministry has paid special attentionto perfecting military and defense institutions, and the systematisationof legal documents and law popularisation and education in the army has beendeployed at all levels and sectors and among mass organisations.
The legal popularisation and education work for officers andpeople in general, and that in border and island areas in particular has been implementedactively and extensively, yielding significant results, he said.
Additionally, the activities related to law enforcement,inspection, auditing, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution ofjudgments; as well as judicial and administrative procedure reform, and documentrevision have been carried out by various agencies and units in thearmy, contributing to raising awareness of law observance; strictly maintaining state law, and army discipline, Luong went on./.
