Leader of Russian communist party extols Vietnam’s support
Leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) Gennady Zyuganov has recognised the warm support of Vietnam to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution.

Moscow (VNA) – Leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation(KPRF) Gennady Zyuganov has recognised the warm supportof Vietnamto celebrate the 100th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution.
He made the statement at a meeting withVietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son on December 26 who hasfinished his working tenure in Russia.
The KPRF leader expressed his pleasure at soundrelations between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the KPRF thanks tobilateral consultations and candid exchanges of views.
He urged the two countries to exert more effortsto help young generations nurture traditional bilateral relations.
Other leaders from the KPRF also recognised theactive involvement of the CPV delegation in the 19th InternationalMeeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP-19), which took place in St. Petersburgin November.
LeonidKalashnikov, KRPF Central Committee Secretary forInternational Relations, thanked Vietnamfor supporting Russia’s hosting of the 19th IMCWP.
He also lauded various activities in Vietnam incelebration of the 100th anniversary of Russian October Revolution.
For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son said2017 has created important milestones in bilateral relations with high-levelvisits, especially the visit to Russiaby President Tran Dai Quang in June and the attendance of President VladimirPutin at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in November in Da Nang city.
He thanked the KPRF for supporting the VietnameseEmbassy in Russiaand believed bilateral cooperation will reap more significant outcomes,contributing to the reinforcement of the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategicpartnership.
