– The Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual Language School inVientiane held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20.

Speakingat the event, the school’s Acting Principle Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong pledged thatthe school will work harder so that the Vietnamese language continues toconnect Vietnamese students with their homeland.

Arepresentative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos said the embassy and theschool’s management board will create the best possible conditions for teachersin teaching, making the school a spotlight among educational institutions inVientiane.

Theschool is operating under the management of the Vietnamese Association inVientiane and the Vietnamese Embassy, and the professional instruction of the LaoMinistry of Education and Sports.

In2014, the Lao ministry decided to turn the education facility into ahigh-quality Lao-Vietnamese bilingual language school.

Inthe 2017-2018, the school had 1,530 students, with 60 percent Lao students, 20percent Vietnamese-origin Lao students and 20 percent Vietnamese./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
