Vientiane (VNA) – Lao Prime Minister SonexaySiphandone on August 16 received a donation of 200,000 USD from the Vietnam-Laosenergy investment and development company to support flood victims in Laos.

On the occasion, the Lao PM appreciated the kindness of the company,saying that the act contributes to further deepening the great friendship,special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, Statesand people of the two countries.

Chairman of the companyLe Thanh Tao offered sympathies to the Lao government and people over the greatloss caused by recent floods. He affirmed his belief that under the leadershipof the Lao government, the Lao people will quickly overcome the consequences ofnatural disasters and return to normal life.   
 
Continuous torential rainsover the past many days have caused flooding and landslides across Laos, blockingmany transport routes, submerging many farms, houses and infrastructurefacilities, affecting tens of thousands of people./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
