Lao Party delegation pays working visit to Binh Thuan province

Binh Thuan (VNA) – Adelegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party led by Governor of theCentral Bank of Laos Bounleua Sinxayvoravong paid a working visit to thesouth central province of Binh Thuan on November 15.
🤪 Receiving the Lao delegation,Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An briefed the guests on the province’s socio-economic development, defence, security, andpolitical system building.
He said Binh Thuan has boosted social-economic development based on three pillars, namely industry, tourism and agriculture. The province has paid due attention to infrastructure development, particularly intransport, residential areas, industrial clusters, and irrigation. At the meeting, the Lao delegation andleaders of Binh Thuan province discussed and shared experience in the Party building work and new-style rural area construction. Bounleuacongratulated Binh Thuan province on its achievements duringthe past time, especially its post-pandemic economic recovery. As Binh Thuan has optimallyexploited advantages and overcome disadvantages to develop fields, includingtourism, and solar power, the province can offer valuable lessons forlocalities in Laos, he said. The official also emphasised that their visit toBinh Thuan province helped tighten and cultivate cooperative relations betweenLao provinces and Binh Thuan in particular, and the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general./.

The Lao Government and Naseng Wayo Renewable Development and Investment Co.Ltd, an affiliated company with US’s UPC Renewable Group, on November 13 signed a Memoradum on Understanding (MoU) on a feasibility study on wind power projects in Savannakhet province as well as a 500 kV power transmission line and a transformer station project connecting power plants using renewable energy in the central locality with neighbouring countries.
