Lao officials pay Tet visit to Nghe An province

Officials from several Lao localities recently paid visits to the central province of Nghe An on the occasion of the upcoming lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
Nghe An (VNA) – Officials from several Laolocalities recently paid visits to the central province of Nghe An on theoccasion of the upcoming lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

The officials, from Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, Savannakhet, Houaphanh,Xaysomboun, and Khammouane provinces that border Vietnam, extended their bestwishes to Nghe An’s Party Committee, government and people on the occasion ofVietnam’s traditional New Year. They wished for the further development ofsolidarity and friendship between the border localities of Vietnam and Laos.

Leaders of Nghe An province affirmed that the locality will continue tighteningsolidarity, friendship and cooperation with Lao localities, especially thoseshare border with Nghe An, contributing to further fostering the time-honouredfriendship between the two nations.

Nghe An province has a border line of 419km with three Lao provinces – XiengKhouang, Bolikhamxay and Houaphanh.

The neighbouring provinces have coordinated effectively to maintain securityand order along the border and boost socio-economic development in eachlocality./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
