Major General Huynh Dac Huong, head of the national liaison board for former Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts helping Laos is leading a delegation on a visit to Laos from September 22-26, at an invitation of the country’s Ministry of National Defence.

General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith led a high-ranking delegation to pay tribute to former Vietnamese President Gen. Le Duc Anh at the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane on May 3.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue close coordination with its Lao counterpart to consolidate and tighten the Vietnam-Laos special relations for benefits of their people, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has said.

Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent a message of congratulations to Lao leaders on the occasion of Laos’ 43rd National Day (December 2).

The sound cooperation between the court systems of Vietnam and Laos have made significant contributions to the special relations between the two countries, Lao leaders have said.

Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou met with Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Vientiane on April 12.
