Son La (VNA) – SeventeenVietnamese officials, volunteer experts and soldiers who had performed internationalmissions in Laos were awarded with the orders and medals of Laos at a ceremonyheld in the northern mountainous province of Son La on November 25.

Speaking at the event, ViceChairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Trang Thi Xuan said nearly10,000 ethnic people in Son La joined international missions in Laos and thousandsof them dedicated their lives to the Lao national liberation cause.

The glorious victory of Laos is apride and historic milestone in bilateral relations, she said.

Over the past years, theprovincial liaison board for the former Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and expertsin Laos has made practical contributions to promoting solidarity and mutualsupport between the two Parties, countries and peoples.

In the near future, theprovincial Party committee, authorities and people will continue popularisingthe two Parties and States’ policies to foster bilateral friendship and specialsolidarity, Xuan said.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
