Lam Dong province launches tourism experience month

The initiative seeks to foster linkages between tourism products across different regions while preserving and showcasing ethnic cultural identities. It also aims to enhance Lam Dong’s tourism brand in both domestic and international markets, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development.

Lam Dong (VNA)🌟 – The People’s Committee of Lam Dong province on September 6 launched the “Lam Dong Tourism Experience Month 2025” with a ceremony held at Lam Vien Square in Xuan Huong – Da Lat ward, featuring a rich line-up of cultural, sports and tourism events.

The opening was highlighted by a special art performance with renowned singers and musicians, attracting large crowds of local people and visitors. Running from September 6 to October 5 under the theme “Lam Dong – Converging Quintessence, Connecting Emotions”, the programme features eight key events spanning coastal Phan Thiet, flower-filled Da Lat and the mountains of Dak Nong. The initiative seeks to foster linkages between tourism products across different regions while preserving and showcasing ethnic cultural identities. It also aims to enhance Lam Dong’s tourism brand in both domestic and international markets, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Tuan emphasised that the month-long programme was not only a tourism event but also a declaration of Lam Dong’s aspiration to make tourism a spearhead economic sector, oriented towards green, sustainable and environmentally friendly growth.

He reaffirmed the province’s commitment to protecting and promoting historical relics, traditional craft villages and cultural festivals, while continuously improving tourism products and services to forge a distinctive identity for Lam Dong.
Following the ceremony, a series of activities will take place across the province. Highlights include the introduction of new tourism products in the three signature zones of sea, flowers and forests; the recognition of the lithophone as a national treasure; and a tourism promotion and cooperation conference from September 9 to 13. Lam Dong Museum will also host cultural and music showcases, an art and book exhibition, and announce the Avalokitesvara statue in Bac Binh commune as a national treasure during the month-long celebrations. Other events include an OCOP and high-tech agriculture fair, along with the “Delicacies of Lam Dong 2025” programme from September 12 - 17 at Lam Vien Square. A wide range of promotions, cultural activities and sports events will also be held across the province in response to the Tourism Experience Month and in celebration of upcoming Party congresses at all levels. The closing ceremony of the “Lam Dong Tourism Experience Month 2025” is scheduled to take place on October 4./.

Of the total, international tourist arrivals were 4.96 million, a year-on-year increase of 25.8%. Total revenue from tourism in the period hit an estimated 85.8 trillion VND, up 17.1%.
