Labour minister sends condolences on workers killed in Taiwan fire
Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung has offered condolences to families of Vietnamese workers who were killed in a fire at the dormitory of a company in Taoyuan city of China’s Taiwan on December 14.

Shortly after receiving information about theincident, the ministry ordered its Department of Overseas Labour and the companiessending the workers to Taiwan to coordinate with relevant agencies to assistthe bereaved families, ensure the victims’ benefits, and investigate the causeof the blaze.
Minister Dung also asked authorised agencies todo their best to help ease the pain suffered by the bereaved families.
On December 18, leaders of the Thuan Thao JointStock Company, which sent the workers aboard, and representatives of theDepartment of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Tinh province visitedthe family of Tran Hong Thuy, a victim of the fire, in Cam Hoa commune of CamXuyen district.-VNA
