Korean, Japanese firms eye Vietnam’s real estate market

The real estate sector has announced a number of joint venture projects with the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Japan in the past three years.

- The real estate sectorhas announced a number of joint venture projects with the Republic of Korea(RoK) and Japan in the past three years.

According to Reatimes – a real estate onlinemagazine in Vietnam, Korean construction and property investors are consideringVietnam the second biggest market to boost investment. 

The latest data from the Bank of Korea show thatKorean investors poured 56.1 million USD into Vietnam last year. This figurewas only after the US with 155.2 million USD.

At present, a series of well-known businessesfrom the RoK such as Lotte E&C, SK, and GS E&C are busy operatingacross Vietnam.

They collaborate with Vietnamese partners to developmany housing and infrastructure projects.

Director General of the GS E&C Cho Sung Yolsaid his company pays special attention to the future of the Vietnamese market,especially building smart supermarkets and landing investment ininfrastructure.

Apart from the RoK, Japanese constructionbusinesses are particularly interested in infrastructure in Vietnam besidesresidential property products.

𝓀 Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
