Kindergarten students in Hanoi return to school

Around 600,000 preschool students in all 30 urban and outlying districts and townships of Hanoi returned to school on April 13 after a year of online instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hanoi (VNA) - Around 600,000 preschool students in all 30 urban and outlyingdistricts and townships of Hanoi returned to school on April 13 after a year ofonline instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thisis the last group of students in the capital city to resume in-personlearning. 

Examining schoolson April 13 morning, Director of the municipal Department of Education andTraining Tran The Cuong applauded schools and local authorities forpreparations to welcome the students back and asked schools to continue to stayvigilant against COVID-19.

Schoolsneed to ensure safety for students, strictly abide by COVID-19 prevention andcontrol regulations and build education activities in line with realconditions, he said.

TeacherVu Ngoc Du, Principal of Anh Sao Kindergarten in Cau Giay district, said apartfrom preparing facilities to welcome back the students, the school paid specialattention to measures to ensure safety for the students. More than 500students returned to school on April 13, equivalent to 92 percent.

NguyenNgoc Anh, a mother of a two-year-old student in Ha Dong district, said this isthe first time her daughter had gone to school so she was veryexcited.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
