Kien Giang, Preah Sihanouk ink cooperation agreement

Leaders of the southern Kien Giang province and Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province have signed an agreement on multifaceted cooperation in the 2013-2014 period.

The signing ceremony wasin the framework of the conference reviewing the previous term, held inRach Gia city, Kien Giang province on June 14.

Theleaders highly valued the efforts and determination of the two sides’authorities, armed forces and peoples in implementing the agreements andtreaties signed by the two countries previously.

During the 2011-2012 period, the two provinces witnessed numerousencouraging achievements in shared border and sea affairs, especiallythe regular updates of crimes that could harm the two nations’solidarity.

According to the new agreement, KienGiang and Preah Sihanouk provinces will continue cooperating in securityand border order; exhumation and repatriation of the remains ofVietnamese martyrs; commerce; tourism, agriculture and aquaculture,healthcare and culture-society.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.

🍎 Tour boats in Ha Long Bay to complete AIS installation by August 15
