HCM City (VNS/VNA) - Global cybersecurity and digital privacy company Kaspersky haslaunched Kaspersky Digital Footprint Intelligence in Vietnam to help securityanalysts detect potential attack threats promptly and adjust their defenceplans.

Using OSINT techniquescombined with Kaspersky's knowledge base as well as analysis of the Surface,Deep, and Dark Web, the product provides a comprehensive picture of a businessattack situation, including identifying vulnerabilities that can be exploitedand alerting planned attacks by providing information about various types ofthreats such as network perimeter-related threats, dark web-related threats,malware-related threats and data leakages.

According to thelatest data from Kaspersky Security Network, Kaspersky protected 24.2% of itsusers in Vietnam against web-borne attacks in the third quarter of this year. Vietnamranked 74th worldwide in the dangers associated with surfing.

The globalcybersecurity company also detected and blocked 30.1 million local threats, with 37.6% of Vietnamese users being attacked by malware spread via removableUSB drives, CDs, DVDs, and other offline methods.

“Although the numberof cyberattacks in Vietnam has tended to decrease in recent times, the damagelevel of attacks is increasing because cybercriminals have now invested more insophisticated attack tactics. Therefore, businesses and organisations with anawareness of the importance of threat intelligence can strengthen theirdefenses against complex cyberattacks,” said VoDuong Tu Diem,Territory Manager for Vietnam at Kaspersky.

“With the launch ofKaspersky Digital Footprint Intelligence in Vietnam, we hope to be able toprovide businesses with a powerful tool for controlling threats whilemaintaining and protecting their network security.”

Businesses can alsosearch the Surface and Dark Web for near real-time information on globalsecurity events that are threatening their assets as well as for exposedsensitive data on restricted underground communities and forums.
