JICA helps southern provinces improve business environment

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) pledged to send its experts to help southern provinces improve business environment from now to September 2015 during a working session with the People’s Committee of the southern province of Binh Duong on November 4.

KikuchiTadashi from JICA said this is part of a large-scaled cooperationprogramme between the agency and Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning andInvestment in an effort to deepen the relationship between Japaneseenterprises and authorities of southern provinces.

Vice Chairmanof the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem spokehighly of JICA’s “initiative”, saying that it will open up moreopportunities for both sides, and help improve investment climate in theprovince as well the southern region.

Japan is running 255projects with a total disbursement of 4.7 billion USD, topping the listof 36 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong.

Most of the projects operate in electronics, medical equipment, food processing and real estates, and trade and services.-VNA

♔ Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
