Japanese firms explore investment opportunities in Binh Duong

A Japanese business delegation visited the southern province of Binh Duong on November 11 to explore investment opportunities, especially in automatic machinery industry.

During this visit,Japanese firms also want to study the province’s socio-economicsituation as well as its incentives given to investors, said TomoyukiEguchi, head of the delegation from Hiroshima city’s Chugoku Bureauof Economy, Industry and Trade (Meti Chugoku).

Standing ViceChairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Nam briefed theguests about the province’s clear investment environment and numerousincentives, and spoke highly of Japanese companies’ effective operationin the locality.

Local authorities vow to create the mostfavourable conditions for investors to develop their production andbusiness, he said, adding that the province is calling for investment insupport industries, hi-tech and environmentally friendly projects.

Japaneseenterprises said they are pleased with Binh Duong’s investmentenvironment and attraction policies, hoping that cooperation betweenChugoku region and Binh Duong province will further develop in thefuture.
Earlier on November 10, the Japanese delegation joined a symposium on environmental pollution solutions.

Japan is the biggest investor in Binh Duong, with 225 projects capitalised at nearly 4.7 billion USD.

Sofar this year, Binh Duong lured 1.48 billion USD in foreign directinvestment, exceeding its yearly plan by 47.7 percent. The figure raisedthe province’s total FDI attraction to 20.2 billion USD, naming it inthe country’s 20 billion USD FDI club.-VNA
