Hanoi (VNA) – Chairmanof the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung on March 23 awarded “For thecause of Hanoi” title to Fukushima Yosuke, First Secretary of the JapaneseEmbassy to Vietnam.

The Japanese diplomat waspresented with the title in recognition of his contribution to socio-economicdevelopment of Hanoi as well as promoting investment, cooperation andfriendship between the capital city and Japan, Ha Noi Moi Newspaper reported.

The Japanese diplomat thankedthe city’s leader for the honour and also for all support by the city duringhis 3-year office term in Vietnam.

He said he felt proud to havetaken part in Hanoi’s key projects, including Noi Bai International Airport andNhat Tan Bridge, the symbol of Vietnam-Japan relations.-VNA
