The National Associated Press Agency of Italy (ANSA) on December 21 quotedthe ambassador as saying that Vietnam, with an average growth rate of 6-7 percentin the last 30 years, is a destination for Italy’s exports and a productionbase for the European nation’s investments.
He said Vietnam’s socio-economicdevelopment model offers businesses good stability and this is highlyvalued by Italian companies.

Although Italian investments in Vietnam stand at an averagelevel in term of financial volume, they are of high quality and welcomed by the hostnation, the diplomat added.
Bilateral trade has hit 4.5 billion EUR (5.08 billion USD) andthere is ample room for expansion, he said.
The ambassador stated that Vietnam is among target countriesof Italy’s national branding communication campaign launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Farnesina)./.
