Hanoi (VNA) – The Israel & Vietnam Folk Harmony programme was held inHanoi o♓n August 25.

Theevent, organised by the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnamese Ministry ofCulture, Sports and Tourism, formed part of Israel’s annual cultural and artexchange programme in Vietnam. Speakingat the event, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam NadavEshcar underlined the importance of Israel-Vietnam diplomatic relations, addingthat cultural exchange events and art performances have enhanced bilateralrelations. The programme featured performances of Israel’s folk dancingtroupe Hora Shemesh and Vietnam’s bamboo ensemble Suc Song Moi (New Vitality). Established 25 years ago, Hora Shemesh, a large dance troupe,is renowned for their colourful costumes and uplifting music. Through theirart, they paint an interesting picture of Israeli culture and life. The main themes in the troupe’s performances are family love,the characters of the Bible and humour. Under the guidance of young conductor Dong Quang Vinh, thenation’s first all-bamboo ensemble Suc Song Moi performed a symphonicallyorchestrated repertoire with only bamboo instruments at the event.-VNA

Vietnam re-ele🔜cted to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
