HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam International Exhibitionon Products, Services of Telecommunication, IT and Communication (Vietnam ICTCOMM) 2017 and the Vietnam International Broadcast and AV Show (BroadcastVietnam) 2017 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on June 7, attracting 250 enterprisesfrom various countries.

With 350 booths, leading businesses from Japan, India, theRepublic of Korea, Malaysia, China and other countries showcase technologies inbroadcast, satellite, HD digital television, software solutions, mediareaction, optical cable, along with decoding technology and solutions tosupport economic organizations and e-government.

According to Hoang Vinh Bao, Deputy Minister of Informationand Telecommunications, Vietnam is one of the top 10 countries in Asia in termsof ICT growth index. The country’s radio and television sector is booming withhigh competitiveness.

The exhibitions are chances for ICT enterprises to accesscutting-edge achievements and solutions in the fields, while opening up newopportunities for foreign firms to access the promising Vietnamese market.

Within the framework of the exhibitions, a conference onInternet of Things (IoT) development and application, as well as issues relatedto the building of smart cities and urban areas will be held.

PM calls for cooperation with ဣSweden in nuclear energy technology

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
