The Vinh Airport masterplan was originally approved by the Ministry of Transport in 2006,which has since seen an adjustment in 2011.
With seven airplane bays and improved facilities, the airport isexpected to handle 2.5 million passengers annually by 2025. The numberwill reach 7 million a year by 2030.
In 2014,the airport welcomed around 1.25 million passengers, registering anaverage growth of nearly 44 percent over the past 13 years, the highestgrowth rate in the nation.-VNA
